Working on the front cover

Today I have started to work on my masthead of my front cover. I have stuck to my house style and used the red and silver colours, with a gradient overlay. I decided to put a gradient overlay on my text because it really stands out and if someone was to see it in the shop it would attract the audience. It's also quite ironic to it's name because you use your ears to listen but you need your eyes would easily spot this.

I've also added a selling line that reads 'Uk's Best Music Magazine.' To anyone that's looking at music magazines wanting to buy one if they read Uk's Best Music Magazine they will automatically know that this is a good magazine because it sounds like the whole of the UK have voted for this to be the best music magazine in the country.

I've also added the issue number and the price, I thought its best to have the issue number and price at the top because if someones on a restricted budget they are going to want to know how much it is. The reason i've also chosen this price is because as it's aimed at teenagers to young adults, they might not have a lot of disposable income or a lot of money of there own, which is why I've priced it at this range and not a higher one.

I've also added a barcode at the top as well, I've looked at other music magazines and some of them have the barcodes have on the back or even on the inside page, I think that this makes it more awkward and it's better to have the barcode on the front cover in a visible place.
